Badoni Drawing Office is the site notebook issued alongside the architectural work of BADONI CLARK LTD, made for the dimensions, site observations and job notes a survey throws up in the hour before any of it becomes a drawing. What follows is written the way a general note on a drawing sheet is written: straight through, in the order a reader would want it.

Extent of the note. It applies to the application on a handset or tablet, and to that alone. Enquiries emailed to the practice, and the pages of the practice website, are dealt with on the data and privacy page published there.

Where the notes are held. Measurements, observations and job notes entered into Badoni Drawing Office are held in the application’s own area of device storage, which Android assigns to the application at the point it is installed. They stay in that area on the handset that was in your pocket on site, and the application reads them back out of it each time the notebook is opened.

What travels in the package. The application is issued through Google Play and includes Google Play Services, which Android calls on to place the application on a device, to hand a device a later version, and to verify the running copy against the build the practice published. The lettering is drawn from Google Fonts, and those files are bundled with the application, loading out of the package itself as a screen is composed.

Revision and removal. The notes stay under your hand throughout. An entry opens for redrafting where it is listed, the settings screen carries an action clearing the whole notebook at once, and taking the application off through the device settings lifts its storage area away with it.
